START FIRES

"From the first hit of bass to the last gasp of the revelers, START FIRES brings the room through a gauntlet of futurebeat rhythm and empowerment rap. We dance with the many facets of power, love, possibility and hope. Now is the only truth we will experience. Knowing that, what will we do? We ask the question, we are the answer: SHERMSTIXX and DMLH START FIRES."

THE SEXBOTS
http://myspace.com/thesexbots

In the future, humans are on the verge of extinction. Overwhelmed by videogames, self-stimulation, and social awkwardness, the mating instinct has been long buried. A rogue scientist created a race of cybernetic beings designed to inspire, demonstrate, and re-train the humans to "bring sexy back". As a preventive measure, the Sexbots were sent back to 2009 to utilize their secret weapon- the dance floor.

The Sexbots is an open, bicoastal collaboration with independent beatmakers led by Ilima Considine. She also performs as a solo artist and plays violin for various projects including Padre Pio.

"Considine breathily suggests, pleads and demands all manner of unsavory treatment..." Bob Ham, Voice of Energy 08/05/09
"Dark, sexual energy." Jackson Kane Fagan 10/26/09 "You're like an over sexed bjork with massive attack tendencies."- William Scharmann, Tiger House

SPESUS CHRIST

http://spesuschrist.tumblr.com/

"Jiving away from the heavy tones buried in the measures of their earlier EPs, Spesus Christ’s latest releases prove to resurrect gladly with ghosts of their early cynical notes while bearing a new spirit of silliness. The hopping lyrical jaunt of Cameron Spies intertwining with the effortless catch of Lizzy Ellison’s pristine vocals barrel above frolicking synthesizers and candidly computed beats. Find the latest dance-to-it-hip-hop-electronic goodness from these two on Apes Tapes latest Mixed Ape compilation series."

Weather Exposed Skeleton Music is the music of Jason Gray, on half of the acclaimed noise/ambient group Saudade (Arena Rock Rec.). WESM is his more personal, experiential music: washes of guitar and keyboard that reflect the open spaces he finds in the natural world that he seeks to keep balance with life in the city.
